Every thread in the Mongolian Cashmere Jogger starts its journey thousands of kilometres away, in the vast, wind-swept grasslands of Mongolia. Here, Cashmere goats roam freely across some of the most extreme terrain on earth, surviving temperatures that plunge to -40°C in winter, and it’s this very hardship that produces the world’s finest cashmere fibres.
We work directly with Mongolian herders and artisan partners who have passed their craft down through generations. These are not anonymous suppliers. They are families, women-led cooperatives, and small businesses whose livelihoods depend on the integrity of every piece they produce. When you wear the Steppe Jogger, you are connected to that story.
Our cashmere is certified by the Sustainable Fibre Alliance (SFA) Cashmere Standard, an independent certification that verifies responsible land management, animal welfare, and ethical working conditions throughout the supply chain. It’s a promise we take seriously, because luxury should never come at someone else’s expense.
Grade A Cashmere — The Difference You Feel Immediately
Not all cashmere is created equal. The industry grades cashmere by fibre diameter: the finer the fibre, the softer and more valuable the yarn. At Cashmere Casa, we use only Grade A cashmere — fibres measuring between 14 and 15.5 microns — the finest and most coveted grade available.
To put that into perspective: a human hair is roughly 70 microns wide. Our cashmere is nearly five times finer.
We also use two-ply construction, meaning two strands of yarn are twisted together before knitting. This isn’t just about softness — it’s about integrity. Two-ply cashmere holds its shape season after season, resists pilling, and maintains that cloud-like drape long after lesser garments have stretched, faded, or worn thin. It is, quite simply, cashmere built to last.

The finish is smooth and plush, with the kind of subtle texture that catches the light softly — never shiny, never flat. Caring for Your Steppe Jogger
Grade A cashmere deserves a little care — and in return, it will reward you for years.
- Hand wash gently in cool water with a mild cashmere-specific detergent
- Never wring or twist — press water out gently and roll in a clean towel
- Dry flat on a clean surface, away from direct heat or sunlight
- Store folded, never hung — folding preserves the shape and prevents shoulder distortion
- A small cedar block or lavender sachet in your drawer will keep moths at bay between wears
